10 Ways to Make Monday Your Favorite Day of the Week

Happy happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend, and are feeling motivated and inspired for the week ahead! I absolutely love Mondays (I know I’m pretty much the only one!), and I believe your success for the week starts with a successful Monday! Here are 10 of my top tips to make Monday your “favorite” day of the week (or, at least to help make it more bearable)!

#1 – Use Sunday to prepare: lay out your Monday outfit, tidy up your space, meal prep, go to bed early (etc). Whatever you need to do in order to make the beginning of the week a bit easier on yourself! For me, I work a 9-5 Monday-Friday, so I use Sunday to deep clean our home, plan out the week in my planner, and to spend some extra quality time with my fiancé!

#2 – Write down your goals for the week: write down a few goals for yourself for the week in your planner, your notes on your phone, or wherever you’ll be reminded of them! Use those goals as inspiration for the week, and see if you can accomplish one on Monday! Even if your Monday isn’t going so great, remind yourself that you’re one step closer to your accomplishment (whatever it may be)!

#3 – Make a Monday to-do list & actually check it off: I always use Monday as my day to accomplish all of the “annoying” tasks that I put off during the weekend (ex/ following up on emails, making any phone calls, paying bills, etc). Start making a checklist of tasks that need to get done, and actually make the time to do them! It’s a really great feeling to check off some lingering tasks, especially at the beginning of the week!

#4 – Treat yourself: Whether it’s the beginning of your work week, school week, or just a regular Monday, treat yourself to something that will make you truly happy! Maybe it’s a coffee from Starbucks, your favorite take-out meal, or taking some time to pamper yourself! You work hard and you deserve it!

#5 – Make a change: Remember that “thing” you were going to start four Mondays ago? Today is the day! Use this Monday to drop that unhealthy habit, start your job search, dive deeper into your passion, create that meal plan/fitness routine, and make a positive change! It’s a brand new week which means a brand new beginning, you can do this!

#6 – Plan an adventure: Big or small, plan an adventure! Plan a picnic in the park, or a trip across the globe; something tangible that you can look forward to! I know my weeks go by a lot quicker if I have something planned that I’m excited about, plus it will bring a spark of joy to your life whenever you think about it!

#7 – Be active & proactive: Make things happen instead of waiting for things to happen to you! Focus on what you can control, hold yourself accountable, and stay organized! This will help your day, and week, go by much more efficiently, and you’ll truly be on top of the world!

#8 – Do a random act of kindness: This can be as simple as smiling and saying good morning to a coworker, or complimenting someone’s outfit! I know a few popular acts of kindness include paying for the person behind you, bringing a friend their favorite food or drink, picking up litter, volunteering at a local organization, and donating to charity (to name a few)!

#9 – Start something new: Monday is a brand new, fresh start; use this beginning to start something new! Try that new hobby that peaked your interest, start working towards launching your small business, or maybe today is the day that you change up your hair or personal style! Try that one thing that’s been on your mind for a while!

#10 – Connect with loved ones, friends, and family: Even on the most Monday-ish Monday, you’ll always find love and comfort within your friends, family, and loved ones! Spend a little extra time with the people you care about, and call a friend or relative just to check in! Both of you will appreciate it, and I guarantee it will bring a smile!
