Happy Monday everyone, and happy 2017! I’m so excited for the new year, because this year is going to be full of change and new beginnings!! I wanted to share a few of my goals for 2017, and challenge all of you to make 2017 your best year yet…
I’ve been making a list of resolutions/goals for 2017 ( I have 32 as of right now, OMG) but this year I decided to make my list a little differently! I wanted to not only make yearly goals, but goals that I can personally achieve every day. There’s nothing I love more than checking things off of a list, so I think creating small daily/weekly goals will help keep me motivated and inspired to reach my larger goals! A few of my daily goals were to meditate every day, read every morning and night, and to be more present, to name a few!
*I challenge each of you to create one daily/weekly attainable goal on top of your yearly goal(s)!
I also decided to break my goals into separate categories, mostly just for fun but also to form some sort of “system” to the random ideas I jotted down in my journal! The categories I chose were Girlboss, Health/Wellness, Lifestyle, and the daily goals. Two of my goals from each category are:
- Girlboss: Create & Stick to a Budget, and Create Content That I LOVE!
- Health/Wellness: Stick to My Workout Schedule, and Continue Hot Yoga 2x Per Week!
- Lifestyle: Travel & Explore, and Visit Each Coffeehouse in My City!
*I challenge you to break up some of your goals, and separate them into categories! Whether by month, season, or by grouping similar goals together under one category (ex/ the Girlboss category)!
As I mentioned in my last post, 2016 was the year where I finally was able to fall in love with myself, and with the life I’m living! Each day I focus on taking care of my mind, body, and spirit, and I seek out the beauty in every day! Loving yourself and taking care of yourself always needs to come first, and I’m making it a goal of mine to fall even more in love with life each and every day this year!
*I challenge you to fall in love with yourself, and allow yourself to come first!
2016 was also when I went through an entire detox in my life, and made the decision to cut out as many negative influences as I possibly could. Not only did I remove negative people from my life, but I also removed unhealthy lifestyle habits. Read all about it in my Detoxify Your Life post! After removing these “toxic” people and habits, I’ve been able to live a much better life and I’ve truly never felt better!!
*I challenge you to cut out anything that is negatively influencing you: whether it’s an individual, food/drink, a job/hobby, or a relationship. Allow yourself to put your well-being above all else, and cut ties with whatever is holding you back!
Use this very first Monday of the year to set your new goals, and to check off those lingering tasks on your to-do list! 2017 is here, let’s make it the best year yet!!
