A Parisian Picnic & Exploring the City

Happy Friday beautiful friends, my soul is feeling fresh and inspired today!  Why?  Because I am back in my apartment, back in my normal routine (goodbye jet lag!), and life is just truly beautiful!

Sharing this post truly warms my heart, because this was one of my favorite days from my trip to Europe (besides the proposal, of course)!  This was the day when I did the most exploring, and discovered beautiful places and friendships that I will cherish forever!

Ally, and two friends, set up a picnic for all of us right in front of the Eiffel Tower!  They even surprised me with a bottle of champagne to celebrate being engaged, which nearly left me in tears!  We had so much fun chatting and catching up, even though it was 95 degrees (and humid!) without any sort of breeze!

If you haven’t already, definitely check out my post all about the most incredible brunch from Ladurée!  After brunch, we picked up some macarons to go and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pics!  I totally felt like Blair Waldorf enjoying sweets and champagne in Paris!

While exploring we wanted to make a trip to La Maison Rose café, which literally translates to “the pink house”!  It’s a little bit of a hike to reach this adorable destination, but well worth it (even though it was closed)!  I like to think of this café as the “Delta Zeta café” since green and rose are our colors, so naturally pictures had to be taken!

Keep on hiking, our next destination is an overlook of the city!

Later that evening, Doug and I visited the top of one of the tallest buildings in Paris to watch the sun set over the city!  This view was unbelievable, and it was truly breathtaking seeing the golden glow of the city at night!

To end the trip, Doug and I walked to the Seine to put our lock on the love-lock bridge!  Yes, I tried to find one of the flat gold locks, but this one will have to do! 😉  Paris, you will definitely be missed, and I cannot wait to return someday!

Love & Good Vibes

Tessa

Such a cute trip! I went to Paris during the winter and really messed up going then, instead of when I could wear a cute romper or sundress!!

Hope you had a blast there! x
