Find Your Perfect Planner 2017: Lilly Pulitzer Agenda

Happy Friday everyone!!  I am SO excited, because my Find Your Perfect Planner series is back for 2017!!  This was one of my favorite series that I started last year, so I am thrilled to be sharing my favorite planners with you once again!

I didn’t think I could love the Lilly Pulitzer agendas more, but I am obsessed with the new version!  I chose the large agenda in the Indigo Gypsea print, and this agenda runs from August, 2017 to December, 2018!  They took out a lot of features from last year, and like the overall design much better!  Plus, it doesn’t help that the inside print happens to match my S’well bottle! ūüėČ

Buy your Lilly Pulitzer 2016-2017 Planner here!

Hi everyone, it’s finally Friday!! ¬†Did anyone else feel like this week went by pretty quickly? ¬†I am definitely ready for the weekend, and for some relaxation!

Yesterday I was completely thrilled to find a package from Lilly Pulitzer at my doorstep, because my 2016-2017 Lilly Planner finally arrived! ¬†I knew I needed to write a post¬†about this planner asap, because I was dying to show it to all of you! ¬†This post is the second part of my three-part mini series “Find Your Perfect Planner”, check out the first part about my Erin Condren LifePlanner here! ¬†Upon opening the package, I was immediately in love with this year’s design! ¬†The addition of the gold detailing in the elastic strap and coiling is beautiful, and the gold foiling on the front is perfection! ¬†I purchased the Large size in the color Exotic Garden, and it is an 17 month planner so it runs from August of 2016 to December of 2017! ¬†Each planner I purchased this year is an 17 or 18 month planner, because that is my personal preference!

¬†Lilly is always known for coming out with fun and colorful designs, whether it be fashion, accessories, decor, or planners! ¬†This year’s planner definitely did not disappoint, because the pages are filled with beautiful artwork, the classic Resort 360 map and mini story, and of course the stickers! ¬†I personally enjoyed last years stickers more than this years, however I do really like how they designed phrase stickers this year like “looooong weekend” and “weekend getaway”! ¬†This year they also included six pages of artwork after the 2017 and 2018 yearly calendars, which displays six tropical, fun pictures designed by the artist(s)! ¬†This planner also features the classic “days to celebrate” page, 12 “travel” pages, four “numbers and addresses” pages, and ten “notes” pages per usual!

So let’s talk about the monthly layout! ¬†At the beginning of each month, there is a full section of artwork which corresponds with that month’s color scheme! ¬†There is also a full month calendar with a “to do” list on the side! ¬†The weekly spread runs from Monday to Sunday, and each day has eight lines for you to write whatever you need! ¬†Last year I used this planner as my academic planner, but I’m¬†actually going to switch things up and use it¬†for my sorority events/meetings, blogging, and perhaps a few other things! ¬†I’ll definitely keep you updated with what I decide! ¬†*Next week I’ll talk more about my academic planner, and go into detail why I think that one is best for academic purposes!

I am such a huge fan of Lilly Pulitzer, and I definitely think they make incredible planners! ¬†I¬†personally love this planner because I am always very happy looking through it, and it makes me think about vacation and tropical places! ¬†I also love how each month starts with a monthly quote (as do both of the other planners I own), because it’s nice to think about throughout the month! ¬†I do prefer the vertical layout in my Erin Condren planner as opposed to the horizontal layout in this planner, however I do like the separate lines to write different tasks! ¬†All in all, this planner is amazing and I cannot wait to start using it!

I hope you enjoyed part two of my Find Your Perfect Planner series, I’ve had so much fun writing these posts! ¬†I believe planning and organization is a huge part of being successful and stress-free, so I am definitely a huge advocate! ¬†I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and you treat yo’self to something lovely!

Spring Essentials 2016

Screen Shot 2016-02-16 at 11.30.10 AM

Hi everyone, it’s been a little bit since I’ve posted! I’ve had so much going on with group projects, exams, and plenty of assignments and quizzes! ¬†Today I wanted to talk about some spring essentials for 2016, because I definitely have spring fever! ¬†I’m so excited for warmer weather, and to be able to wear dresses and open shoes again! ¬†I compiled a general list of necessities for the spring, so definitely let me know if you would like a more in depth list about fashion, beauty, or accessories!

Screen Shot 2016-02-05 at 2.45.55 PM

  1. J Crew Trench Coat: ¬†I think trench coats are perfect for spring, because they’re a lot lighter than winter jackets! ¬†The weather in Michigan is still a bit chilly in the spring, and on some days a lighter jacket is definitely needed! ¬†Plus, you can’t go wrong with a classic trench!
  2. J Crew Umbrella: ¬†With spring comes rain, and a cute umbrella will make those rainy days a little brighter! ¬†I love the umbrellas from J Crew, because they fold up to a little size that’s perfect for your handbag!
  3. Customizable Ray-Bans:  Spring is always my excuse to stock up on new summer clothes and essentials!  New sunglasses are a definite must, and you can create your perfect pair of Ray-Bans on the website!
  4. Kate Spade Handbag: ¬†Kate Spade is my obsession, and the spring handbags are to die for! ¬†I’m drawn to very neutral handbags, but I love how this one has the bit of pink right at the bottom! ¬†Kate Spade also makes super cute handbags in pastel colors, and they are perfect for spring!
  5. Tory Burch Miller Sandal: ¬†The best part of spring¬†is breaking out the flip flops and open toed shoes! ¬†These sandals from Tory Burch are absolutely adorable, and definitely a staple for your closet! ¬†Plus,¬†they’ll add a perfect pop of color to any outfit!
  6. J Crew Stripes: ¬†Stripes are a necessity during all of the seasons, and I think they’re perfect for the spring! ¬†They’re perfect for layering, or plain with a cute statement necklace! ¬†I’m obsessed with the striped shirts from J Crew!
  7. Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo 208 Roman:  How beautiful is this color!?  Chanel released some new lip products, and the Rouge Coco Stylo is perfect for a sheer wash of color!  If I wear lipstick I always tend to go towards nudes, but I would definitely feel comfortable wearing this!
  8. Essie Fiji: ¬†This is my all time favorite nail color! ¬†It’s the perfect baby pink color, and it lasts exceptionally well! ¬†During the spring and summer, I’m constantly wearing Fiji!
  9. Lilly Pulitzer Dress: ¬†Nothing screams spring and summer more than a Lilly dress! ¬†I love how flowy and comfortable they are, and they’re incredibly cute! ¬†Nothing makes me happier than a new Lilly dress!
  10. Kendra Scott Earrings: ¬†Kendra Scott earrings are absolutely gorgeous, and they are amazing quality! There are a ton of options in so many different colors and styles! ¬†I think these amethyst earrings are absolutely perfect for the spring, and they’ll add the perfect touch to any outfit!
  11. Stella & Dot Statement Necklace: ¬†You all know my obsession for Stella & Dot, and I fell in love with this necklace the moment I saw it! ¬†The hint of turquoise is stunning, and it’s petite enough to pair with other necklaces or by itself!
  12. Diptyque Paris Baies Candle: ¬†I cannot live without candles, and Diptyque makes exceptional ones! ¬†They burn cleanly, and they smell absolutely incredible! ¬†I’m definitely burning a lot of cozy scents right now for the winter, but I can’t wait to bring out the spring candles!

Spring is right around the corner, and I’m so excited! ¬†I hope you enjoyed this post, and I’ll talk to you very soon!

How To Get Organized

image1 (1)

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve had a great start to the week! ¬†I wanted to share this post with you because I’m a big advocate for planning and organization! ¬†It’s a huge part of my routine, and I wanted to share some tips and ideas that I use on a daily basis!

  • Use a Planner! ¬†As you can tell, I use two separate planners! ¬†I use my Lilly Pulitzer planner specifically for my academics, and I use my Erin Condren life planner for literally everything else! ¬†That includes everything with my sorority, appointments, meals, dates, TV shows, workouts, To Do lists, and everything with my blog! ¬†I love having everything planned and written out, and it really helps me visually see what I have going on that week! ¬†While both the Lilly Pulitzer and Erin Condren are great options, there are also the most amazing planners at Target or HomeGoods!
  • Make Weekly Lists! ¬†To do lists are my life, and I make one for every week! ¬†I like to write down all of my assignments due for the week, as well as events and fun things I might be doing! ¬†Making a to do list is really beneficial¬†because you won’t miss anything that’s going on, or forget about an assignment or quiz! ¬†I also like to use to do lists as a reminder to get groceries, clean the apartment, and pay my rent/dues!
  • Write It Down! ¬†Write down any ideas, thoughts, or inspiration you have! ¬†I use my Kate Spade notebook to write down anything and everything such as ideas for my blog, and things that I want to try! ¬†I love looking through my notebook for inspiration, and sometimes I stumble upon¬†ideas that I wrote down that I completely forgot about!
  • Meal Prep! ¬†Every Sunday I plan out my meals for the week, and I definitely make an effort to stick to the plan as much as possible! ¬†I also try to eat as clean and as healthy as I can, and it definitely helps being able to look back on recipes I’ve made from previous weeks! ¬†I also track my water intake for each day, and write down¬†days¬†I want to do some meal prepping!
  • Create a Routine/Schedule! ¬†I think we all form our own routines based on what we do per day, and personally there’s nothing I love more than having a set plan to follow! ¬†I love making a routine based on the times of my¬†classes, and I schedule sorority events, workouts, dates, and fun activities around them! ¬†It makes it a lot easier for me to plan things knowing my schedule for the day, and it helps me make time for lazy days as well!

I absolutely love being organized, and these are¬†a few of my tips that I personally use! ¬†I hope you enjoyed this post and¬†it gave you¬†some inspiration or ideas! ¬†Have a wonderful¬†week, I’ll talk to you very soon!

The Lilly State

This is by far my new favorite DIY!¬† Not only was it easy, but it is absolutely adorable and it was FREE!¬† I love the look of my state with the Lilly pattern, and I cannot wait to style it with my other decor once I move in to my new apartment! (An apartment decor post is coming soon!!)¬† It would be really fun to create your name, sorority letters, or outlines of other things that you love!¬† I am really excited to create more things like this, and I hope you stick around to see them!¬† Let me know in the comments if you recreated this, and what other DIY’s you would love to see!
