Cute & Affordable Bikinis Under $20! {Zaful Review & Tips}

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a beautiful weekend, and are feeling inspired and motivated for the upcoming week!  Can you believe today is the first official day of spring, and also the international day of happiness!?  I love the transition into a new season, and spring is one of my favorites!  My desk is full of blooming white tulips (my favorite flower), and my entire space is clean and organized (for the most part!) thanks to my Spring Cleaning Checklist post!

I posted a few photos from our trip to the Bahamas on my Instagram (@tessa_noelle), and I couldn’t resist sharing my favorite swimsuits that I wore on vacation!  Each of these swimsuits are under $20, and the quality is incredible!! I purchased each swimsuit off of a site called Zaful, and I will definitely be purchasing more from that website in the future!  Since ordering swimsuits online can be nerve wracking, especially ordering from a website you may not have heard much about, I wanted to share a few tips at the end of this post to make sure the process goes as smoothly as possible!

Crisscross High Neck Bikini: Currently $11.99

This is by far my favorite swimsuit, it is very flattering and super cute!! The cross-detailing is adorable, and I love the unique pattern in both the top and bottom!  Top: size small – bottom: size small

Double Side Crossover Bikini Set: Currently $13.99

This swimsuit was actually pretty popular on our cruise, especially since a handful of women all had the exact same swimsuit in the exact same color (including myself)!!  The crossover straps are really cute, and the color looks great on everyone!  One thing to keep in mind; these bottoms are cut smaller than the other two bottoms!  Top: size small – bottoms: size small

High-Neck Leaf Print Bikini Set: Currently $16.49

I have been on the hunt for a high-neck palm leaf printed swimsuit, and it’s actually how I ended up shopping on Zaful to begin with!  I instantly fell in love with this bikini, especially the crossed strap detailing in the back!  Top: size small – bottom: size small

Tips

  • You must order the same size top and bottom, as that is the only option on the website.  I am wearing a size small in both the top and bottom of each swimsuit, and the sizing fit very well, however it may be difficult if you tend to wear a different size top or bottom!
  • Pay for rush shipping, it’s definitely worth it!  I ordered the swimsuits very last minute (my mistake!), and a member of the company worked with me and helped make sure my swimsuits arrived before we left! The swimsuits are such a great price, so I would definitely look into rush shipping so you can rock your swimsuits even sooner!  Plus since most items come from oversees, it will guarantee that your order will arrive in a timely fashion!

Where are some of your favorite places to buy swimwear?  Some of my favorite swimsuits are from Triangl and Midori, and I am definitely going to be wearing these three swimsuits throughout the spring and summer!  I hope you all have a beautiful Wednesday!

A Week in the Bahamas {Places to Visit & Travel Tips}

Happy Wednesday everyone!! It’s like the saying goes, it truly is better in the Bahamas!!  Doug and I spent a week visiting islands, exploring new places, and meeting some of the most incredible people from across the globe!  We set sail on Royal Caribbean, and let our minds, bodies, and spirits relax and detoxify as we cruised across the ocean!

Two of the islands we visited were Nassau/Paradise Island and Cococay, and I wanted to share some incredible places to visit as well as some travel tips that will help make any cruise/vacation run perfectly!!

Nassau

Fresh coconuts on the island, YUM!!  My goal for the cruise was to drink out of a freshly cut coconut, and it did not disappoint!!  Also, if you like this outfit, check out all of the details here!  This dress is under $30 too!

Welcome to Nassau Bahamas!

My favorite row of colorful shops and buildings!

Pompey Square is a historic landmark, and during the 1700s it was the scene of slave auctions.  The Pompey Museum of Slavery and Emancipation is located on the square, and it is a commemorative space to visit and pay respects!

Majesty of the Seas, our cruise ship!  We are completely sold on Royal Caribbean, and are already planning another cruise for next year!  I’m thinking maybe the Cayman islands, St. Thomas, or maybe both?!

We took one of these smaller boats over to Paradise Island, and our tour guide was so fun and energetic!!  For only $4, you can’t beat it!

Paradise Island

The most incredible yacht club with a beautiful view!  My family and I are fellow boaters, and have been our entire lives, so this was very fun to see!

Dairy free and gluten free ice cream, YUM!

We didn’t spend much time on Paradise Island, but it was fun to walk around Atlantis!  Both Islands are full of palm trees and the most vibrant colored buildings, and it was truly an incredible experience!

Cococay

Welcome to Cococay!!  This was Doug and I’s favorite day, and our favorite place that we visited!

The cutest floating tiki bar!!  A definite must-visit on the island!

We walked out as far as we possibly could in the incredibly warm water!  Pictures cannot even represent how beautiful the island is, and this was by far our favorite destination!

The middle of the island was filled with lush greenery and animals, and there were plenty of chickens roaming around!!  So cute!  One chicken ended up sitting underneath the chairs behind us!

The most beautiful week with my best friend, we made memories that will for sure last a lifetime!

Travel Tips:

  • If you’re taking a cruise, make sure you pack essentials on a carry-on!  They will take your bags to load onto the ship when you arrive, and you want to make sure you have everything you need!  In my carry on, I kept Doug and I’s passports, IDs, and wallets, a swimsuit for each of us, sunscreen, my polaroid camera (and film!), both of our sunglasses, chapstick, gum, a book, my Birkenstocks, and our phone chargers. Our bags didn’t get delivered to our room right away, so we changed into our swimsuits and lounged by the pool before our departure!
  • Bring cash and cards!  We paid cash for almost everything on the islands, but a few places only accepted card as the form of payment.  Also, if you’re paying with cash, make sure you receive your correct currency back in change!
  • Don’t buy the wifi package!  Unless it’s an absolute necessity, try avoiding using the wifi offered by the ship.  Doug and I used the entire cruise as a digital detox, and it was the best thing we could’ve done!
  • Book any excursions beforehand!  The prices increase A LOT if you decide to book an excursion the same day, so look into packages and deals before you depart!
  • Invest in a passport!  This may not be necessary for some cruise lines, but having a passport makes everything so much easier!  We were told we wouldn’t need a passport, but then it ended up being a requirement in order to make it through customs.  Thankfully we brought ours anyway, but make sure you do research just in case!
  • Relax and recharge, and enjoy every moment!!

Happy Monday everyone!!  We woke up to at least six inches of snow this morning in the midwest, which I’m absolutely thrilled about but it’s a little different than the 80 degree weather I just came back from!  Since it is a brand new week, use today to set good intentions, to detoxify your mind, body and spirit, and to clean and organize your space!  Check out my Spring Cleaning Checklist for College Students {3 DIY Natural Cleaners} post for some extra inspiration!

Doug and I had the most beautiful time on our cruise, and I basically lived in this striped dress from Charlotte Russe the entire time!  The best part is, it’s under $30 and the fabric quality is amazing!  I paired it with these adorable mauve caged sandals, also from Charlotte Russe (and also under $30!), and my favorite straw tote from J Crew!  Definitely head over to Charlotte Russe right now, because everything on the website is 30% off and they have the cutest new arrivals for spring and summer!!

I can’t wait to share more content from our trip to the Bahamas with all of you, we truly had the best time!  I hope you all have a beautiful Monday!
