Setting Fall Intentions: New Healthy Habits!

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!! It’s a rainy, chilly day here in Michigan, and I could not be more excited for fall!!  I’ve been loving the cooler weather, and I already broke out all of my fall clothes (#sweaterweather)!  Fall and winter are my favorite seasons, and I cannot WAIT until the leaves begin to change!!

With a new season comes new goals, and one of my main focuses is to reduce my anxiety through setting positive intentions and developing healthy habits!  I am officially in my new career, life is finally back on track, and I am ready to find myself once again!  I always feel the most inspired and refreshed in the fall, and I think this new season marks an exciting new beginning in my life!

Intention No. 1

I will become the best version of myself!  

I intend on accomplishing this by incorporating self-care into my daily routine, as well as having a “pamper session” 2-3 times per week!  This includes LUSH baths and face masks, diffusing essential oils and burning fall scented candles, and taking time out of each day for a digital detox so Doug and I can spend quality time together!  I will focus on positive energy and the things that bring me joy, and I will release any toxic energy that I may be holding onto! 

Intention No. 2

I will find my strength within my yoga practice!

One of my goals in life is to become a yoga instructor, and I intend on integrating yoga sessions into my daily routine!  I will attend a class at my hot yoga studio 3 times per week, and I will work on my own yoga flow during the days in between! I will meditate daily, and I will focus on trying new poses and working on ones that challenge me!  One of my personal goals is to perfect my headstand by my birthday (October 1st), and to work on my handstand in October!

Intention No. 3

I will develop my creativity through my blog and social media platforms!

I intend to work on something new and creative through my blog and/or social media platforms every single day!  Lately blogging and Instagram have felt more like a chore, and I am ready to get back into my routine and to find myself once again!  I will designate time to work on new content, and I will be proud of everything that I create!

Intention No. 4

I will develop confidence and self-love through healthy habits and daily workouts!

I will create a workout routine that works with my schedule, and I will focus on workouts that I love and that make me feel my best!  These workouts include cardio, the Blogilates daily workouts, barre, light weight lifting, and outdoor activities!  I will also make a green smoothie every day, and I will make it a priority to eat cleaner and to avoid mindless snacking!  I already drink a ton of water daily, however I will drink at least one glass of lemon water every day to promote healthy digestion!  My goal is to tone up, and to feel beautiful and confident when I try on wedding dresses this October!

Intention No. 5

I will expand my knowledge and I will learn something new every day! 

I intend to step outside of my comfort zone (baby steps lol), and I will continuously learn both inside and outside of work!  I am the marketing and events assistant manager at Madewell (the coolest job EVER!), and through this position I intend on getting involved in the Detroit community through hosting awesome events and meeting new people!  In my personal life, I intend on reading every single day, and reading a new book every month!  I will be starting my monthly book club series back up, and I will share September/October’s book very soon! 

Intention No. 6

I will prioritize what is important at the present moment!

I will prioritize my happiness above all else, and I will make time for friends, family, and loved ones!  I am someone who gets caught up in my own life way too often, and I intend on taking a step back to refresh myself.  I will focus on new and lasting friendships, visiting my parents often to relax and recharge, and spending quality time with Doug while we house hunt and plan the wedding!  I will be more present, and I will prioritize those who mean the world to me!

Intention No. 7

I will work on my anxiety and stress, and I will let go.

Lately my anxiety has been at an all-time high, and my goal is to reduce my anxiety through all of the previous intentions.  I will work through my anxious moments, and I will let go of the little things that I cannot control.  I will develop a successful routine to avoid stress, and I will be proud of my accomplishments.  I will let go, I will move forward, and I will work through whatever may be holding me back! 

A new season, new beginnings, and a new mindset!  Each season I am planning on sharing my intentions, and I will share my thoughts/results of the previous season!  I encourage you to make a list of some intentions and/or goals that you want to accomplish this fall, and use today as a fresh start and a new beginning!
