Hi everyone, happy Monday! This past weekend my best friend Alyssa and I visited the lovely town of Grand Haven, where we visited the farmer’s market, did some shopping, and grabbed lunch! We also stopped by the beautiful beach before our departure, and enjoyed the warm weather while listening to the waves! It was a cloudy, slightly foggy day when we visited, so Lake Michigan and the sky melted together creating an endless oasis! It was a wonderful girl’s day, and I was so happy to spend some time with Lyss before she jets off to France! Grand Haven is a quant little town on the west side of Michigan, filled with wonderful people and a lovely atmosphere! The downtown is sprinkled with boutiques, ranging from home decor, art, clothing, and delicious places to grab lunch, coffee, or a snack! We spent most of the afternoon downtown, browsing through most of the boutiques and purchasing a few pieces! Grand Haven is home to one of my favorite stores Lee & Birch, so it was only fitting to stop by! We also visited Lemongrass, which is filled with rustic chic pieces, homemade soy candles, and decor designed by local artists! After doing some shopping and endless browsing, we decided to stop by the Grand Haven Brew House for lunch! If you’re in the area, definitely stop by for the most delicious gluten free margarita pizza, amazing onion rings, and the endless beer assortment!
Grand Haven is also home to a incredible farmer’s market filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, vibrant flowers, succulents, homemade jellies/jams, and wood oven baked goods! I brought home a gorgeous succulent bowl, and Alyssa purchased the most delicious, locally grown carrots! I was able to snap a ton of pictures from the market, and also some cute ones of Lyss for her blog! We had the best day together, and I cannot wait for more adventures with her this fall!
