Happy Wellness Wednesday everyone!! I hope you have had a beautiful morning, and an inspiring week so far!!
Something that has really resonated with me this week has been happiness, rejuvenation, and feeling refreshed! A healthy body starts from the inside out, which is why releasing negative vibes and detoxifying is one of the best things! This can be letting go of anything from habits, food/drink, relationships/friendships, social media; truly anything that may not be bringing joy into your life. Make today your day to cleanse, your day to focus on yourself and your happiness, and to refresh and rejuvenate your soul!
With the new season upon us and the semester in full swing, I wanted to share an updated workout routine! We’ve had a little bit of cooler weather in Michigan, and I must admit I am completely ready for fall! The leaves are beginning to change, apple orchards are preparing their infamous pumpkin doughnuts and hot cider, and my 21st birthday is a little over two weeks away; it’s time to amp up my workout routine!!
One of the biggest changes in my workout routine is that I am currently following Sarah’s Day’s Sweat It to Shred It 8 week workout plan! I absolutely love following workout plans, and I think they are a great way to hold yourself accountable for your workouts! Other workout plans that I follow are the Tone It Up workout series, and the Blogilates monthly workout calendars (which are both free)! All of these plans are super fun and very effective, and it’s amazing to connect with people who are following the same plan as you!!
Most of you probably know that hot yoga and cardio are my go to when it comes to working out, however these past few months I’ve gotten into weight lifting, spinning, and barre workouts! Trying new types of workouts is something I want to focus on during the fall, which is why I decided to join our CHAARG chapter on campus! CHAARG is basically an organization where each week they have new fitness goals and challenges for us to achieve, and our group will exercise and workout together based on what the weekly goals are! It’s a great way to connect with fitness gurus around the nation, while meeting some amazing people right on campus (plus, talk about incredible accountability partners)! If you’d like to follow along with my journey, check out my CHAARG Instagram account!
One thing that I think is important when starting a new fitness/wellness routine is setting long-term and short-term goals for yourself! These goals will not only help to motivate and inspire you, but you’ll be able to check off your amazing progress as you go! My goals for the fall are:
- Run another half-marathon in October
- Run at least three fall-themed 5Ks
- Complete all of my scheduled workouts (maybe even add on a few fun ones!)
- Try kickboxing & focus on new exercises
- Better flexibility
- Improve my health
- Gain muscle definition & tone up
- Gain confidence & be proud of my progress!!
Fall and winter are my favorite seasons, and I have been looking forward to cooler weather and the change in scenery! With a new season comes new goals, new beginnings, and an entirely new vibe, so use that to your advantage! Your body is a temple for your mind, body, and soul, so nourish it with only happy thoughts, good health, and positive energy!
Love & Good Vibes
