10 Girlboss Habits: Daily Routine for Success

Happy Wellness Wednesday!! I hope you have had a great week so far!

It’s been a little bit since we last chatted, but I am so excited to share this post with all of you!  There are times where it feels like your constantly playing catch up, or no matter how much work you do there is still more that keeps appearing (aka my entire semester)!  In times like these, it’s best to take a step back, re-evaluate, and prioritize.  Success starts with you, so start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can!  I wanted to share 10 of my favorite #girlboss habits that can be accomplished daily, and that help to promote living your best possible life!

Get Enough Sleep

Getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night will leave you feeling refreshed and re-inspired for the next day!  Try going to bed early and waking up early, so you can accomplish tasks and tackle your to-do list before the day begins!  Our bodies run best when we sleep well, so try putting away electronics, make a hot cup of (decaf) tea, and light a lavender candle to promote relaxation!

Avoid Procrastination

In moments of self-doubt or when you’re feeling lethargic, procrastination always seems to show up!  To avoid procrastination, try rewarding yourself for accomplishing tasks, and tackle new projects as soon as you get them!  Procrastination only causes more stress, even though it seems like the best option at the time.  I like to set a timer between 30 minutes and one hour, and I will use that time to focus on what needs to be done and I will accomplish as much as possible!  I promise afterwards you will feel motivated and inspired to accomplish even more!

Prioritize & Balance Your Life

Make time with the people you love, and don’t sacrifice it!  I always prioritize my friends, family, loved ones, and myself, and I refuse to let any daunting task hinder my time. Finding the balance between prioritizing work/school and prioritizing your life is crucial in order to help distinguish “work” time with “home” time.  Put just as much effort into spending time with loved ones as you do your classes or career, because spending quality time with them is just as important!

Eat Well

A healthy mind and a healthy body lead to a healthy life!  You are what you eat could not be more relevant!  Having good eating habits will leave you feeling refreshed and energized for the day, where unhealthy eating will leave you feeling lethargic and heavy. I like to have a fresh salad or a green smoothie for lunch, and I always like to save something sweet for an extra treat for later!!  Eating well every day will help you feel so much better, and you’ll shine from the inside out!!

Drink Up

One of my goals for the new year was to cut back on drinking coffee, mainly to cut out the excess calories.  I have never been much of a coffee drinker, and I don’t drink pop or alcohol (simply because I don’t like it), but I am a HUGE water drinker and I love hot/iced tea and matcha! Moral of the story: try cutting out beverages with excess calories and sugar, and add in some healthy options! I guarantee you will feel more energized and enthusiastic after drinking a glass of ice water, and it is better for your body!

Exercise Daily

Exercise releases positive endorphins, which will leave you feeling motived and excited for the day!  Who doesn’t love feeling confident and beautiful after a workout?!  Make an effort to get active every single day, whether it’s going for a walk, having a sweaty hot yoga/SoulCycle session, hitting the gym, or doing a Blogilates workout in the comfort of your home!

Utilize a Planner/Calendar

Write down important events and due dates, and plan out each day/week/month!  I start every morning by checking my planners and seeing what the day/week holds, and I like to make daily and weekly to-do lists to help keep myself on track!  Trust me when I say, there isn’t anything better than checking off tasks!  If planners aren’t your thing, utilize your phone calendar!  Write down important dates, and set reminders to literally “remind” yourself of what the day holds!

Dress For Success

I am all too fond of the leggings and cozy sweater look, but try dressing your best even if you’re just running errands or running to class!  Wear something that makes you feel confident and beautiful, and keep the good vibes flowing all day! Pick out an outfit the night before, throw on some mascara and lipstick, and slay the day!

Curate Your Social Media

Social media is one of the most important aspects when it comes to finding a job, or working with companies!  Avoid posting photos that you wouldn’t want your family to see, and focus on sharing what inspires you!  Use social media as a way to share your beautiful photos, that way you can look back at them later and feel just as inspired!  If you ask me, there’s nothing better than scrolling through Instagram and smiling at everything you’ve posted!

Schedule “Me Time”

Take time to spend time by yourself, for yourself!  Take a hot LUSH bath, light your favorite candle, read a book, and indulge on what makes you happy!  This is your time to refresh yourself both mentally and physically, so use alone time to your advantage!  Self-love is a key to success, so fall in love with yourself and the life that you’re living!

What are some of your favorite daily habits?!  Definitely let me know in the comments!  I hope you have a beautiful Wednesday!

Love these tips! Procrastination, eating healthy and exercising often are my mishaps in all honesty. Lately I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress due to my grandparents being sick so my blog, my school and my mind and body have been suffering because of it
